Our Staff

The day-to-day operation of Southminster Child Care Center is run by Director Bonnie Kline, with over 25 years experience in the field of early childhood education. It is a priority of Southminster Child Care Center to provide a caring, loving and knowledgeable staff for the children. Our staff members are required to have at least 24 hours of training annually to improve skills in working with children and families. Training addresses the following areas: health and safety, child growth and development, planning learning activities, guidance and discipline techniques, linkages with community services, communication and relations with families, and detection of child abuse. Southminster Child Care Center also requires that all staff members pass the Criminal Record Check and have their Child Abuse Clearances. All new staff members will also have FBI fingerprint clearances. All staff members must also have infant and child CPR, pediatric first aid, emergency preparedness and fire safety training.
